 So how can we keep our family healthy during this time of year?  Here are some tips from my family to yours!:


1. Take a multi vitamin! I have found my daughter's get less cold when I have them taking a children's vitamin than when they don't use them.  There are many different forms of vitamins available, like regular pills, chewables, gummy or even a powder supplemetnt.


2. Get a balanced diet.  Eating a healthy diet and including fruits and veggies are key to good health.  By eating right, you are giving your body the nutrients it needs to fight off illness and keep your immune system up and running!


3.  Stay active! This will help you stay healthy not just now but in the long run.  Leading an active lifestyle results in fewer serious health issues, especially as you get older!


4.  Clean!!!!  Be concious of things like germy counters, door handles, etc.  Wash down counters daily with a disenfecting spray or wipe to keep germs off food.  Wipe down door handles, light switches and other things that are in constant contact with hands to prevent spreading germs.


5. And speaking of hands!! Make sure you and your family are avid hand washers! This is one of the best ways to prevent spreading germs.  But it isn't always enough, you should use a hand sanitizer as well that is alcohol based to truly get rid of all those icky germs.


6.  Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. And do it with your elbow, not your hand.  This keeps you
