Shame on you Amazon
Amazon.com is selling an e-book entitled “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure”. This book's description states
Why not write a book about how to get help and get out of the situation, not how to cope with it? I just don't understand why a company as great as Amazon would agree to sell this on their site? Is it worth the nearly $5 a pop for the book?? Do they realize that a bunch of child molesters are going to run out and get it and use it to make their horrific crimes go unnoticed? And to convince the child they are hurting that it is ok?? I personally contacted Amazon and the statement I got "Amazon does not discriminate against any book or any person who would want to purchase this book. Amazon does not condone or approve of crimes." Really? Well you could have fooled me. What more, I discovered that my comment this morning on the book HAS BEEN DELETED!!! Why is it you can censor me for voicing my opinion on something but you cannot censor the person who is writing a guide to child molestation??

Lisa, I am mortified to hear this! Is there someone we can report this to? Someone to pressure Amazon? I'm going over to make a comment and see if I get deleted.
ReplyDeleteI can see them defending with Freedom of Speech, but what about YOUR'S and MY freedom as well. Big, big fail.org!!!!!
This is disgusting! I can't believe this book was even published.
ReplyDeleteI called them via Customer Service which is 800-201-7575
ReplyDeleteHOWEVER
Today the book is no longer available, so all the calls, emails, tweets and facebook groups have caught the attention of the media and that made Amazon react. Way to go moms!!!
I blogged about this on my blog http://afterallwereafamily.blogspot.com and put it on my facebook page and on my twitter page. If it's free speech, well I free speech that I won't buy from Amazon. Is this free speech, or free crime?
