Haircoverings.com offers a wide array of hair accessories to fit any hair style!!  You could have your hair a different way everyday!! Here are just a few of the products they offer!!:

This was a cute and stylish bandana style head band! My girls loved it and fought over it right away!! I loved the fact that it stays tied!

Here's a little more about some of their other products!
Pre Tied Bandanas
The pre tied bandana is a hand made product from the finest materials. Each material is chosen with care in order to fit the needs of the buyer. Different types of lycra, cotton, velvet and more are specifically used for the comfort and fit of the head. Each pre tied bandana, has elastic hidden in the back to give a comfortable yet snug fit. We carry many styles from rich velvet solids to a fine lycra with appliqué or beading. These are very popular among religious wearers and those who cover their hair due to hair loss.

Cotton Square Bandanans
Whether it is solid or paisley, bandanas are a supremely versatile cloth. They make the perfect head covers, the perfect kerchief or ‘hankie’. Sometimes bandannas are made from nylon, while other times they are cotton or mesh. One thing is for certain, wearing this light material in any way will make you look stylish and cool. The colors and designs are of endless possibilities. Think of  paisley a rich red bandanna covering your hair. Envision yourself wearing a stylish  solid tangerine orange bandanna. Now close your eyes and picture a bandanna hair scarf in a striking leopard style animal print. The possibilities are endless.

Tichels Headscarves
The Israeli tichels, also known as headscarves or mitpachot, are one of the most interesting products as they can be worn in many different styles. Some of these classy looks are: Dutch Style, Bun, Crown, The Classic Tie and many more. The fabric that is used is a very soft viscose or cotton. The colors range from soft pastel to deep primary. This headscarf is worn for hair loss, religion, to protect ones hair from the sun, or just a bad hair day.

Headbands - Wide - Hard - Soft
A headband is a useful product that draws the hair away from the eyes and face. There are headbands made of soft cotton that can be tied in the back of the neck with the two ends. Many headbands have elastic in the back which makes it easier to wear by just slipping it over the head. Hard headband are made from plastic and come with many exotic designs and appliqués. Many hard headbands come with teeth to help pull the hair back neatly. Whether going for the soft cotton or the hard plastic headband the array of styles and colors are endless.

Beret - Hats - Caps
Winter hats, summer berets, whatever season- there is something for you. A ribbed pull on beanie hat with decorative flowers is a must on those leafy Fall days. A heavy crochet hat or a woolen beret would be perfect for that snowy winter day. How about a pastel colored, soft cotton hat? Perfect for spring. Try our lightweight soft cotton beret for a fun summer day. You love hats? Wear one all year long.

Hair Accessories - Clips - Ponys
Wearing an accessory can dress up your look. From studded pony holders to beaded clips, there is one to match everything you own. There are jaw clips, hair combs, barrettes, banana clips, bar clips and many more. They each have a unique decoration including beads, sequins, stones, crystals, prints, lace…… There is always one for you.

You can win  your own headband!!

Lacing Shoe Toy Review and Giveaway From Oompa Toys!

Childhood isn't complete without lots of toys!! We all have a favorite toy that brings back fond memories. When choosing toys for my kids, I like to try to find ones that are more than your average toy.  I like toys that help develop skills, challenge the mind and still are entertaining! I also like toys that are safe for them of course.  I was so excited to find Oompa!! They offer great toys that totally fit my wants and needs!

Here's a little about Oompa from their About Us pageThe idea for Oompa Toys took hold in 2003. Early one morning I crept into my infant daughter's room and tripped on a plastic, battery-operated walker. Loud animal noises instantly blared from the seemingly innocuous toy. I had a bleeding toe and stifled some not too pleasant words. A cacophony of clucking chickens, moo-ing cows and quacking ducks would not be silenced despite my best efforts. I gladly (and somewhat vindictively), threw the walker in the trash. An electronic bovine moo'ed as I walked away.

I felt there was something unnatural about surrounding my daughter with so many disposable toys. I wondered if she dreamt of copyrighted characters or if her first words would be "Dora" or "Mickey". I wondered if she would ever learn to use her imagination. She did, after all, play with toys that with the push of a single button did and said everything for her. I donated most of the contents of her room to a local charity the next morning.

Finding replacement toys that were well designed and not covered with characters owned by publicly traded companies proved difficult. Most local stores stocked toys made of synthetic materials and finishes. Existing web sites had limited selections and poor customer service. After months of looking I began to feel the type of toys I wanted didn't exist. Finally, during a trip to Europe, I discovered a plethora of toys that were not only made of natural, beautiful materials, but objects I wouldn't mind having in my home for years. I knew other parents in the United States would appreciate these European toys and that I had to bring Oompa Toys to fruition.

My interactive agency background as a graphic designer, programmer and project manager for several Fortune 500 companies proved useful. A developer at heart, I feverishly created the first version of the Oompa Toys web site while pregnant with my second child. Inventory was warehoused in my garage. My brother and sisters generously donated evenings and weekends to help get the business up and running. Finally, with the help of my husband (co-founder ofMochila) I created the Oompa Toys brand as one of the leading online specialty toy retailers.

As a mother with relatives in a developing country, I believe toys should not only be natural and well-made, but created in humane and safe working conditions by adults and with absolutely no child-labor. I go to great lengths to ensure toys within the Oompa family do, indeed, come from safe environments. From extensive interviews with company representatives to annual onsite tours of manufacturing facilities, you can be assured that our toys come from companies who care about their employees.
Oompa Toys, founded in 2004, was a family held California corporation. In May of 2007 I moved both the company and my family to Madison, WI. Oompa Toys continues to carry a wonderful, ever expanding mix of wooden toys, baby toys, soft dolls, play food, ball tracks, play mats and other beautiful, high quality wooden toys. We offer fair and competitive prices and strive for 100% customer satisfaction.

Thanks for reading! If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, let us know! Feedback (both good and bad!) will help us serve you better.

I got to try out the Bajo Lacing Shoe!!  It has the ties in the front to learn how to tie shoes, and something I think is even better-holes in the side to lace a "needle" through with a string!! This is one of my favorite fine motor toys!  My kids love to play with it and "sew" the shoe in different patterns! The wheels roll so it can be pulled behind for yet another way to play! This toy is versatile and fun!

Product Details:

Help preschool-aged kids hone their fine motor skills with this simple yet entertaining wooden lacing shoe. The shoe is done in smooth natural wood and dotted with holes all over, to lace the included shoe laces through. There is also a row on holes, lined up to allow your child to learn how to lace and tie their shoes as well. Children will have fun coming up with all sorts of complex lacing patterns, then undoing them, and making new ones all over again! Great for keeping kids occupied on car trips or daily outings.
Bajo wooden toys, baby toys, cars and furniture are hand-finished in a small village near the Carpathian mountains. These beautiful European toys are made of locally grown apple wood, cherry wood, alder, maple, beech, birch or walnut and are finished with child-safe, non-toxic lacquers.

Ruby For Women Ezine

Ruby for Women is an online Christian women's magazine for women of all ages and stages of life. The current issue of Ruby for Women is filled with so many wonderful ideas for your home and family, you won't want to miss out!

If you are a gardener, you will love Aunt Dot’s article on springtime gardening. And if you like to crochet, you’ll find a sweet little headband pattern from Jaybird Designs tucked into this issue. As always, there is inspiring poetry from Keith Wallis, and devotionals from Lynn Mosher, and you will also find “Mama’s Craft Corner” from one of our newest writers, Carolyn Arnold.

Of course, there are always the paper doll and coloring pages from Rochelle Martin, but we are now also featuring one of her quilt designs, “Gardener’s Delight.” In every issue for the next eight issues, Rochelle will teach you how to make a new block for this beautiful quilted wall hanging. Don’t miss a single issue so that you can complete this lovely quilt over the next several months.

Also in this issue of Ruby for Women is “Ask Ms. Beth” where you can read Ms. Beth’s advice on teaching our children the importance of household chores; a tutorial on making your own Journal of Gratitude; and advice for building a home business from “Ask Sue of Indiesmiles.” We have started a couple of new columns with this issue, one is “Spotlight On . . . . ” where we feature a woman who has built a home-based business, and “Through Another’s Eyes” in which we will be sharing personal stories of women who have encountered struggles and heartache in life and who have triumphed through God’s amazing grace.

In this issue of Ruby for Women you will also find advice for home-school families along with hands-on projects that we can all do with our kids this summer, all from our resident Home School Mom, Heather Miller. One of our newest writers, Amanda Johnson, writes about hearing God call her into missions, and she shares with us her adventure in Balcony Gardening from her little second-floor apartment. For a bride on a budget, there is a tutorial for creating your own hand-embellished bridal shoes and handbag, and there are some great recipes for summer drinks from Jennifer Cirka of Jaybird Designs, as well as ideas for Frugal Family Fun from Lisa Moore Gee.

Vintage Mama has sent along a few old-fashioned recipes that she discovered in some vintage cookbooks, as well as a few newer recipes for creating delicious sugar-free desserts for your family. And if you are looking for a fun project to make this summer for the county fair, you’ll also find a complete eBook pattern for making a Country Girl Apron by upcycling a pair of bib overalls, from mamas*little*treasures.

Champions Summer Science Program!

With Spring in full bloom, it's not too soon to start thinking about your kids' Summer plans. Instead of letting them hang around the house all Summer or sending them off to Grandma's, why not send them on the adventure of a lifetime? What child doesn't want to become an astronaut or solve an ancient Egyptian mystery?

Moms, meet Champions Science Adventures summer day camps. They focus on taking science education beyond the classroom to spark a child's interest in science through exploration and discovery. Science Adventures day camps are available for students ages 5 to 12 years throughout the summer, at participating recreation facilities, parks, and schools nationwide.Champions Science Adventures take science education beyond the classroom to spark a child’s interest in science through exploration and discovery. Science Adventure day camps are available for students ages 5 to 12 years throughout the summer, at participating recreation facilities, parks, and schools nationwide.

This year, two new exciting camps have been added, including: Mystery of the Pharaoh’s Treasure and Go Wild! In these camps, children help to solve an Egyptian mystery and investigate amazing wildlife and plants. Plus, two popular camps – Gizmo’s Robot Factory and Space and Rocketry – return.

Each camp is one-week long with half-day and full-day options. Parents can enroll online at http://www.scienceadventures.com/ and have the option to register their children for all four camps, or just one program. Camp program fees and schedules vary by location.

• Champions Science Adventures summer day camps focus on FUN and take science education beyond the classroom to spark a child’s interest in the world of science through exploration and discovery

• Champions Science Adventures camps are designed to inspire curiosity about how the world works while instilling a love of learning about science through interactive, hands-on experiments and activities

• This year’s four camps are Mystery of the Pharaoh’s Treasure, Go Wild, Gizmo’s Robot Factory and Space and Rocketry

• You can visit www.scienceadventures.com for more information

• Save $50 on a Champions Science Adventure summer day camp with the following code: summerscience10

• As the final days of the school year approach, there are several simple ways to encourage your students to keep their minds working all summer long. Summer vacation is the perfect time for children to discover that learning is fun and can happen anywhere - not just in places called classrooms. One easy way to learn while on summer break is with educational videos. Try the Champions Science Adventures webisodes found here: (http://www.youtube.com/user/scienceadventures). Filled with amazing footage and information, you're sure to be engaged from in front of your own computer.

• Tips to choosing a summer camp:

1. Ask Your Child: Camp should be about fun so it’s important to ask your kid about their interests and where he/she wants to go for camp. Get thoughts from your child first as that should lead you in the right direction and help shape all your other decisions.

2. Take a Tour: Take time to visit the camp you’re considering, preferably with your child, to preview the program offering. Look for well organized plans of activities, thoughtful preparation and a safe and inviting environment for your child.

3. Consider Specialty Camps: Now, there are camps that are focused on specific activities like sports or science. For example, children that attend the Champions Science Adventures camps learn how to build a robot, become mini-astronauts, solve an Egyptian mystery and leap into a wild animal adventure over four weeks beginning in June.

4. Balance Learning and Fun: While summer should definitely present fun filled activities that give children an experience different from their typical school day, the program you choose should also incorporate some learning activities into the camp day.

5. Insist on Health and Safety Basics: Look for programs that are licensed and meet stringent health and safety requirements. Make sure to inquire about the medical training of the staff and if medical equipment like a first aid kit is readily available.

Champions Science Adventures, the nation’s largest science enrichment provider, is proud to offer ONE FREE HALF DAY TOPIC WEEK to our Science Summer Camp in 2010. Check out the camp locations here. Our fun, interactive science day camps help rocket kids toward a bright future. Your child will be introduced to science concepts as they build projects, conduct experiments and take part in multiple science activities.

You will be able to choose from four different topics including Space and Rocketry and Go Wild. Please visit http://www.discoverchampions.com/ to check out the topics!

I love the Qwerty board for easy web browsing and text messaging! The keys are small, but not so small that you can't type easily.  The Qwerty board retracts for normal use as well!  It makes it easy to keep in touch on the go and the size is perfect!  It runs 3G and can access most of AT&T's services. The keyboards stay active simultaneously to give you fast access to both letters and numbers when messaging. The camera and mobile video recorder capture your life – from profile pics to video blogs. Plus, you can play your soundtrack using the music player and built-in speaker or connect to Mobile Web with 3G speed.

O Splash Cosmetics Review and Giveaway!

There are very few things as relaxing as a nice warm bath with great smelling soaps!! That is why I loved trying out O Splash cosmetics!! Founder Brittany Michelle, a makeup artist and skin care specialist wanted to start her own cosmetic line since she finished beauty school. On the road to pursuing her dream, Brittany has worked for such elite companies as Chanel Cosmetics and Bare Escentuals. She eventually quit her job and moved to a small town to get to work!!

Brittany says:

“I draw inspiration mostly from traveling, and music. Many of our product names come from TV shows or is something funny that I have said at one time or another—as I am a huge goof ball and love laughing.
When I am not working on O Splash or taking care of my fur children (Spade my Chihuahua, 4 and Chloe my calico cat, 1), I can be found traveling, visiting historical sites, shopping and spending time with my family.
It is my dream that O Splash will bring awareness to consumers to start buying handmade, home grown products.”

Every O Splash product is handmade, and all fragrances are hand blended to perfection before being poured and hand packaged. Each product is made with only fresh and natural ingredients from the best sources. The packaging is made from rebatched/recycled plastic, aluminum, glass and paper, making packaging easy to recycle! Their products are NEVER tested on animals and use only animal friendly products. And Brittany knows that great products shouldn't break the bank, so everything they make is under $25!!!

O Splash even makes custom soaps-perfect for weddings, birthdays, holiday gifts and businesses!! They can insert pictures, logos, business cards and more into their wonderful soaps! You choose the size, color and scent.

They also support many local charities and organizations. O Splash is currently working with the Music Department at College of Desert. C.O.D. M.U.S.I.C. Is the College of Desert Musically United Students Instrument Club. The mission of this organization of students is to help[ build their school's Music Program by using music to bring the college and community together. O Splash launched “Music the Soap” on April 12th. $3.00 from every sale of the soap goes to benefit the C.O.D. M.U.S.I.C. The soap features music notes and will be in the scent out their current Limited Edition Soap “Willo”.

I got to try some of these yummy soaps!! I especially loved the Cherry Delicious ( anyone who knows me knows I am all about cherries!!! ) Here is how “Cherry Delicious” got its name:

“When I smelled this blend I blurted out “Wow this is cherry delicious,” then I immediately busted out into laughter because I meant to say, “very.” I thought it was cute so we named it Cherry Delicious.”

This exotic soap will exfoliate and sooth the skin. It's made with an exotic blend of black cherry, almond oil, orange, cinnamon with raw sugar cane and ground almonds to slough off dead skin. This soap seriously left me smelling yummy all day! Perfectly girly and sweet!

The Orange You Spicy? Soap is a zesty blend of orange oil, fresh ground cloves and ginger, cinnamon, and fresh orange peels to invigorate your skin and leave you feeling clean and spicy!!

“I couldn't come up with a name for this soap because all I cold think about was the knock-knock joke with the punch line that says “Orange you glad I didn't say banana?” As I was de-modling the soap I was saying that over and aover and over and finally my boyfriend and said “Orange you spicy?” So, the name stuck!”

-Brittany on how “Orange you Spicy?” got its name.

We also got to try the Olive Suds. This soap I handed to my husband, because as soon as I smelled it I thought of him. This soap was actually named after “Oliver Spencer”, which manyof you know as the hot Australian shoe distributor that Carrie Bradshaw meetsin “All that Glitter's” in Season 4 of Sex in the City! The soap gently cleanses while nourishing even the most sensitive skin! It's made with olive oil, aloe, olives and a hint of lavender oil to relax you! When I first saw the label that said “Olive & lavender in Aloe Vera base” I thought it would be girly. No way. It is as manly as the man its named after! O Splash says it “has a very androgynous scent which is great for men or women.”

The soaps are great for my skin and smell even better!! They also came in a super cute reusable pouch!! O Splash wants to offer one of you lucky readers a full size Summers Dream soap

A delightful blend of black cherry, tangerine, lychee and orchid flowers. This soap will leave you feeling refreshed and clean.”

Baby Dipper Review and Giveaway!

With 3 kids, a husband and a dog, there is always plenty of mess to be cleaned up! So when it comes to meal time I am always looking for ways to keep it as clean as possible! That goes double for my “baby”! She is almost 18 months old and totally independent. If she wants to do it herself then nobody is going to convince her of anything different. So I have to give in and let her feed herself! That is why I was so happy to try out the FABULOUS Baby Dipper feeding set!!!!!! Seriously, let me tell you the types of food my little one has been eating WITHOUT SPILLING A DROP: cereal w/ milk, Progresso chicken noodle soup, chili, casserole, applesauce, and even ice cream!! I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I used it. Seriously?? Where did the food go? It wasn't all over the tray, or on her clothes. I mean there was a little on her mouth but SERIOUSLY?!?! She really didn't spill anything!! Well, I was pretty darn excited about that! So I have been using it for everything and anything!! She loves it and totally knows its “her” bowl and fork and spoon!

The bowl has a non slip base, so for self feeders it stays in place as they use the specially shaped silverware to scoop or stab food from the bowl. It gives parents feeding younger babies a free hand during meal time. The inside has a specially contoured design to help push the food onto the silverware and keeps it from spilling over the sides! The bowl is BPA free, so you can be sure it won't harm your child! And its top rack dishwasher safe, so its easy to clean for daily use! The bowl is also the perfect size to throw in a diaper bag for meals to go, at restaurants or at other people's homes! This is the ideal tool for children learning to self feed!! I just wish I would have had this with my other 2 daughters!! It would have saved me a lot of clothes and time spent cleaning up!!

The Story of the Baby Dipper® bowl

Hello! I’m Barbara Schantz, mom of twin girls, Greta and Cora, born in 2004, and also the mother of twin boys, Franklin and Carlton, born in 2008. As a stay-at-home mom of twin babies, I faced the daunting task of feeding them. Frustrated with the bowls I had already purchased, I investigated and bought other bowls, but still remained disappointed. The vision for the Baby Dipper® bowl came to me when Cora and Greta were about 6 months old, not long after they started eating baby cereal and other pureed foods. I needed a bowl that required only one hand to successfully feed a baby, but why wasn't there one on the market that satisfied this need?
I was thinking that to accomplish one-handed feeding, the bowl should not slide around on the table and it should aid in the collection of the baby food. A non-slip bottom surface would keep it from sliding. A sloped interior surface and a spoon-shaped collection point would help gather the food down to the last bite. Also, adding to those features, vertical sides would help push food onto the spoon and transparent sides would allow the food to be seen easily by both the parent and the child. The bowl I designed has proven to make feeding much easier for parents and even for toddlers trying to spoon-feed themselves. The patented Baby Dipper bowl is truly unique in the marketplace and hopefully will help parents everywhere.
