Nutrisystem Review!

Spring is here, which means swimsuit season isn't too far behind! Time to get that body in shape for summer! Getting fit is a combo of eating right and working out! To take care of the healthy eating portion, try Nutrisystem! They offer healthy foods and meals to help you reach your fitness goals!

I was offered the chance to try out some of these foods from TVtopten.com!  I was excited to see how they tasted, as I have seen many other bloggers working with Nutrisystem. TVtopten.com is THE place to find info and reviews for all the stuff you see on TV! You can read or write reviews, browse the different products, or even order some goodies! There is a lot to see and do!

So, back to the foods! I was sent a pack of all sorts of things, from sweet and sour chicken to a chocolate chip cookie!  The food was ok, not anything I would regularly eat.  The sweet and sour chicken probably would have been better if I had cooked it myself from scratch.  I don't think that eating right means you have to sacrifice eating delicious food.  Learning to cook healthy is a much better alternative to pre-made meals.  Some of the things were okay, and most of the snack type foods were good.  I am a picky eater also, so I may just be too picky for the Nutrisystem foods!

I do like the ease of having pre-planned, pre-packaged meals delivered right to your door! Cooking for yourself might taste better, but chances are you will over eat!  Having pre-portioned meals ensures you are eating right and by balancing it with exercise, you are burning the calories you need to.  Nutrisystem is a great way to eat right, since you plan out your meals and know what you can and cannot eat.  It is easy to follow and if you stick to it, it will help you lose weight!

Nutrisystem offers different plans for different needs, so be sure to check out the website to find what is best for you! They even have plans for diabetics! There is a body assessment on the website, so you can find out where you're at and where you want to be!  And I love that if you don't need to lose weight, it will tell you that you are not over the required weight for your height.  I haven't seen anything tell you that before! No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars Review & Giveaway

I definitely have a sweet tooth, but few things compare to cheesecake. That is my all time favorite dessert!  And not just plain cheesecake. No. I love ALL kinds of cheesecake. Pumpkin, strawberry, raspberry and even Key Lime Cheesecake.  I really love the Key Lime Cheesecake Bars from  Plentiful Pantry.  They are quick and easy to make and taste great.


With little fingers always trying to get into my batters and stuff, I like to do no bake recipes when I can.  I also have a friend who's child recently got burnt in a cooking incident, so I don't do cooking recipes with kids. This was a great kit I could do with my 5 year old to make dessert.  You just need cream cheese, water and butter to make the cheesecake bars.  It doesn't take long at all. The directions were very simple and results were delicious.

I love the combo of the Key Lime with the Oreo crust! This cheesecake was heavenly! I served it at a bbq we had and it went quick! Even the kids loved it and they can be picky! My husband is not a cheesecake fan and I got him to eat and enjoy it as well. This is a great dessert for any occasion.

My Blog Spark Progresso Healthier You Prize Pack Review & Giveaway

 As a mom of 3 growing little girls, I am always trying to help make sure they get the right foods. Seems like they are eating more than  usual lately! So I try to balance out their meals and be sure they eat healthy! One thing we love to eat in this house is soup!! Progresso sent me a great "Healthier You" prize pack! This had some cans of soup, a super great soup cup, a workout dvd and an exercise ball!! I was super stoked, because I have been trying to drop those last few inches from all my pregnancies the last 5 years!! 3 babies in 5 years takes quite a toll on the body!!  

The soups were Chicken Gumbo and Tomato Parmesean!!

The chicken gumbo was really good! It has chicken, veggies rice and more!! This was the first of the two we tried, and the kids loved it! This is one of my best way to get veggies in them, via soup!  The meal is also hearty, and goes great with some corn bread!  

I really liked the Tomato Parmesan. Since we always eat regular tomato soup with grilled cheese, I thought I would try to feed this to the kids instead of the regular stuff! They loved it too and had a great time dipping their sandwiches in it! I loved that they were getting more veggies in this soup than regular old tomato soup!

National Smile Week! 1800 Flowers and more! Review and Special Smiles Giveaway!

Did you know that August 8-14 is National Smile Week? What do you have to smile about? I have plenty to smile about!! Like bedtime conversations with my hubby who is working 1000 miles away right now.  And my 21 month old's big toothy grin whenever she is in one of her silly moods.  Or my 5 year old getting home from school and showing me the paper she drew that says I love mommy.  And when my 3 year old comes and shows me she got her shirt on right and the shoes on the right feet and she is so proud of herself.  The little moments bring a smile to my face every time!  How could they not? These are the memories I want to reflect on after the kids are gone. I want to remember the lovey dovey moments with my husband during times when things aren't so lovey dovey.

Next I received a super cute box of Cheryl's Happy Face Cookies $36.99!! The cookie box I was shown was these:

 

which were sugar cookies with butter cream frosting. YUM.

But what I got was not quite the same. They were lemon flavored smiley face cookies, just as cute:

I was a bit bummed that the cookies weren't the yummy butter cream frosted ones,but the kids seemed to really like them, and I tried one and it was pretty good!  The box was soooo cute too and I liked that the cookies were individually wrapped!

What arrived was a yummy collection of goodies:




The Survival Kit  had a bag of tootsie rolls, a variety bag of different chewable candies, some gum and jawbreakers, a pack of super soft red licorice, some jelly belly jelly beans, fruit snacks, and popcorn (cheese and also almond pecan).  The kit was super cute and I love the reusable tin! 


Overall I was very happy with all the products I received! The flowers I got were actually prettier I thought than the smiley face bouquet.  Like I said before, I would have preferred the frosted cookies. If I ordered them at $36.99 a box and didn't get what I saw online, I would be very upset.  But the ones I had were still yummy.  The survival kit was really good but I wish for the National Smile week I had gotten the smiley face sampler.  Everything was good but again if I had to pay good money for it and didn't get what I ordered, it wouldn't be a good deal.

Omaha Steaks Review and Gift Card Giveaway!!

Food is a huge passion of mine! I may not always be the best cook, but at least I try! One problem I have is making the perfect burger patties!  For some reason, I just have the hardest time making them the perfect shape. Maybe it's my little hands, maybe it's just that I don't know what the heck I'm doing. Whatever the reason may be, I choose to get the pre-made patties to make my life easier. And of course what bbq would be complete without doing hotdogs? Well Omaha Steaks has a pretty great Picnic Pack that makes this bbq a breeze!! It comes with 16 (5 oz.) Gourmet Burgers and 16 (3 oz.) Gourmet Franks.  I got to try this pack recently and it was so yummy!

The burgers come in super convenient packages that are 2 to a pack and they are sealed so that you just have to pull the two plastic sheets apart and put them on the grill! They were super good and didn't get hard like some pre-made patties do.  Even the next day when I microwaved left overs they didn't get hard! I was impressed cause that is one thing that I cannot stand. The hotdogs were soooo plump when they cooked! I ate them and they were very delicious and juicy!! These franks have been a customer favorite for years, for any occasion.  The hotdogs are great in a bun or solo! 

Of course, given the name, we know that Omaha Steaks offers far more than just burgers and franks! They offer Filet Mingon, Strip Steaks, Rib Eye Steaks, and just about every other cut of beef!  But did you know some of the other yummy things they offer? Like lamb, veal, roasts, a variety of seafood, turkey,  chicken, and more!  My favorite products are the Complete Meals. You get a main dish, a couple of side dishes and seasoning for cooking perfection! There are so many delicious looking choices!!  

So you may be wondering...how do you get the food sent to you? Well Omaha Steaks has a great plan for shipping your food!  They use Fed-Ex or Ups to ship your package, and you don't even have to be home when it arrives! They use lots of dry ice and a reusable insulated cooler to insure that your products are frozen and in good condition when you get it!  You can even pay extra to get your order sooner! 


Omaha Steaks also offers a large collection of recipes! Karl Marsh, Omaha Steaks' Executive and Research Chef has developed recipes for appetizers, breakfast, dessert,  kabobs, and even a romantic dinner for 2!!  You can create all sorts of wonderful meals with Karl's yummy recipe ideas! 


Omaha Steaks has sent me a giftcard valued at $20 for one of you to get some great treats from them!  I know some of their stuff is spendy, but they do have a great selection of Overstock items for less!  I found a Chocolate Lovers cake for $14.99, a jar of Southwest Chipotle seasoning for only $$4.49, Beef Lasagna for $9.99,  and a Fully Cooked Pot Roast for $19.99!  There are tons of great deals and they change often, so check to see what kind of yummy food you can get for a bargain! You can look in other categories as well to find items for any budget.  I found a New York Cheesecake for only $14.99!
