AlternaVites review & Giveaway!

I have found that taking vitamins helps to keep your immune system healthy, resulting in less colds and illnesses.  Unfortunately, most of the adult vitamins are big old horse pills that make me want to get sick lol.  There must be an easier way to get the vitamins you need without having to swallow a huge pill.  There is, and it is called alternaVites!

Product Description
alternaVites was developed because no one needs another pill, tablet or capsule when it comes to vitamins.  The world doesn’t need another vitamin, it needs a breakthrough vitamins.  As there are over 100 million Americans that have difficulty swallowing pills (of which I am one), alternaVites lets you keep the vitamins while losing the pill.   Unlike anything else currently on the market, alternaVites multivitamin & mineral crystals contain 23 essential nutrients that are simply sprinkled on your tongue as they then dissolve in seconds. Whats more? alternaVites tastes delicious (mixed berry flavor), has no aftertaste, requires no water or preparation, and are packaged in daily dose packets for convenience and portability.
Using a proprietary blend of ingredients, the alternaVites รค formula meets or exceeds that of leading national brands on the market.  And alternaVites is just as remarkable for what it doesn’t contain as for what it does: no sugar, no animal products or by products, no artificial colors, artificial flavors or preservatives, no chemicals used to glue pills together. With alternaVites there are no more excuses not to take your vitamins.
This product reminded me of a pixie stick lol. You swallow the powder but it takes a while to do the whole packet.  The taste was okay, not too bad.  I just had a hard time getting all the powder.  It is definitely something that takes a bit of time. But it is a good alternative to pills. So it is a good product.

You can win your own box of alternaVites, Sponsored by Tomoson.com Here is how to win:

MANDATORY ENTRY 2 PARTS MUST BE DONE FOR THE ENTRY AND EXTRA ENTRIES TO COUNT:
PART 1:  Tell me how you take vitamins! Do you take adult vitamins? Do you use child's chewable or gummy vites? Or do you not really take vitamins? Tell me in a comment!
PART 2: Follow me via Google Friend Connect
You must put both parts in the SAME comment and include your GFC name for the entry to count. Also must include an email to contact you to win, unless it is visible on your blogger profile.
 No email=no prize!

Mabel's Labels Review & Giveaway! Open to U.S. and Canada!!

If you have a child in school, I am sure they have lost a thing or two.  And if their name isn't in it or on it, you may not get it back.  Mabel's Label's to the rescue!! They have a wide array of labels for kids, babies, clothing and more! If you need a label for it, chances are they have it! They even have waterproof stickers!

I got to try out the Colorful Ultimate Back to School Combo, and got to choose the exact name and design of the tags! I got them for my 5 year old, who just started Kindergarten!  We chose the "Sweethearts" motif:

I loved the shoe tags (the large circle tags), which go right inside the inside of the shoe! They are surprisingly long lasting and durable! And the design is just so cute!  The tags were perfect to stick on a zipper, but we chose to put it on one that isn't opened and closed a lot. I wasn't sure if the tag would make it through tons of zipping and wanted it to be on in case she leaves her back pack somewhere!  The long skinny tags were used on all sorts of school supplies: notebooks, scissors, pencils and pencil box to name a few! The tags come off the plastic items clean, but are strong enough to resist peeling off on their own.  I am just so impressed with the durability of the labels! The smallest labels were used for smaller things and were just as durable as the larger labels.

A little about Mabel's Labels from their About Us page:
"We are moms who were frustrated by the amount of stuff that left our houses, never to return. After lots of research and testing we created the perfect labels for the stuff kids lose.
Our sticky labels and clothing labels are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, and customized with a child’s name, choice of colours and icon. We also offer child safety products and household labels.
We continuously create innovative labels for babies, kids and grown-ups. You’ll be amazed at what you can label!"

I was so impressed with Mabel's Labels that I wanted to share with you guys! And one of you lucky readers will be winning your own set of the Colorful Ultimate Back To School Combo customized for your child! Here is how to win!!:

MANDATORY ENTRY 2 PARTS MUST BE DONE FOR THE ENTRY AND EXTRA ENTRIES TO COUNT:
PART 1:Go to mabel.ca and tell me which label or label combo you would love to have!
PART 2: Follow me via Google Friend Connect
You must put both parts in the SAME comment and include your GFC name for the entry to count. Also must include an email to contact you to win, unless it is visible on your blogger profile.

String Ring Review and Giveaway!

I love jewelery with a secondary meaning! Being able to express yourself in a unique way is always fun! I was so excited to find String Ring!  They offer super cute rings that can express any feeling!

The String-Ring is a cue to remind yourself and those who notice it, to be kind to one another. To do a kind act, say, or even think something kind. Each color of string represents a specific kindness reminder.Colors signify different things from culture to culture. When choosing the color string to be worn on your String-Ring, keep in mind some of these common meanings to communicate your intentions.

Color Codes:
White:
Peace, life and simplicity. Remember to be kind to yourself. Slow down, take a deep breath, and relax tense muscles.
Take time for yourself everyday to just be in silence.

Blue: tranquility.Remember to be Patient. Use tense moments as time to practice deep breathing and relaxation. This gives you time to think before you react.

Green or Brown: nature. Remember to be Respectful of the Environment All things have value and should always be respected.

Red or Pink: love.Remember to be Kind.Always be kind to others. After all, kindness generates more kindness.

Orange:Energy & enthusiasm. Remember to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine.  Especially when you laugh at yourself!

Silver: Wisdom & understanding. Remember to forgive.  This is a gift you give to all. Even yourself.

Yellow: Optimism:  Remember to  be grateful. Count your blessings and be thankful for the goodness in others.

Black: Depth, introspection and harmony. Remember to eAbsorb every moment. Accept and enjoy it, and learn from it. And, most of all, share what you’ve learned.

Purple:empathy. Remember to be Tolerant. We come from different places, but from one common source.

Gold:giving. Remember to Give. Gold is the color of wealth. You have something to give: attention, knowledge, time, money, or even a smile. It's only yours so that you can give it.
It even comes in this cute bag!!

I chose the red one, because I am a hopeless romantic ☺ It was super cute and I loved that I could change the colors if I choose!  The sizes of the rings are true to regular sizes.  I loved that the ring supports kindness!   This is something we sometimes lack or forget in this world, and that is unacceptable.  This ring spreads a message of positivity!

Here is a little about the designers:

The String-Ring Story

Who We Are
Originally from Oklahoma, my husband Jeff and I moved to beautifully wooded Kingwood, Texas in 1996. Jeffrey, our only child, was born shortly after. Both graphic designers, Jeff soon found his role as Creative Director specializing in web design and branding. I began working as a freelance designer and started doing volunteer work at Jeffrey's school when he began kindergarten. As much as I loved the school programs, I couldn't help but feel that the kids could really benefit from and needed a kindness program, but I wasn't sure how to go about it.
The Idea
It seems to me as though everywhere you look, you come across rude behavior in our society. I've observed, through personal experience or news programming, such violent behavior as road rage, campus rampages, ugly office politics, weapons and threats in the schools, most recently cyber bullies, and simply just a basic lack of respect in our everyday interactions with those around us. I've asked myself, "How can we teach our children to be kind and compassionate when such aggressive behavior is exhibited everywhere you look?"
One evening, my husband asked me to critique the layout design of a jewelry website he had just built for a western jewelry designer whose work was heavy on symbolism - String-Ring started to take shape. Thinking to myself, "I could create an inspirational ring reminding people to be kind using the old custom of tying a string around your finger."
The Process
I purchased several different kinds of sheet metal and went to work on my idea. Using my son as a guinea pig to wear the ring, I fashioned several mock-ups until I was ready to send the ring design to a jeweler and have a prototype produced. Even after the prototype was made, still changes went into place to create yet another. I had to find the right design to hold the string in place, and I wanted the colored string to be noticeable enough to send the kindness message but not overpower the ring. The stringing also had many different incarnations. I began using white string and dipping the ends in paint, but eventually decided to go with colored string. First using hemp string, which I soon discovered frayed, and then switched to waxed cotton. Always keeping cost of materials in mind, so kids could be able to afford the ring.
The Peace and Love message of the Sixties Movement felt appropriate for our branding, so we modernized the peace symbol and came up with the Pass It On! tag line (sort of "Pay It Forward"). Jeff built the on-line store and I sent out a flood of emails and press releases notifying friends, family and community that String-Ring is now in business.
So here we are, hoping to communicate a positive message and play our small part in making our world just a little kinder.
Peace,
Tina

Snail Mail Review and Giveaway!!

Between email, Facebook and twitter, we don't really communicate by postal mail much anymore!  But Snail Mail Notes is here to help us regain this lost form of communication!!  Here is a little more about Snail Mail Notes from their founder Paula, found on their About Us page:

Photography has been a long-time hobby of mine. I am usually the person behind the camera with a group of friends or at a party.  I literally have copypaper boxes full of pictures I've taken over many years.

I also love the written word, whether I am reading it, writing it or sending it.  Some people collect angels or unicorns.  I seem to collect stationery. Greeting cards, note cards, writing paper.... I have a large collection in a container under my bed.

I began creating personal stationery for myself a few years ago, combining my love of photography and interest in writing.  Friends complimented my handiwork and I began creating cards as gifts, personalizing them when I could.   I gifted them to others, encouraging them to brighten someone's day with a handwritten note.
I have wanted to find an outlet for my creative passions for some time, and snail mail notes is the culmination of that search.

Paula offers beautiful photography on single fold cards or small cards like the type you use for flowers! They are available with a message or without!! There are tons of designs to choose from!
I got to try out the Thank you cards!  The cards say thank you in english, french, spanish and other languages! Simple and elegant design that are perfect for any time you need to say thank you!! I also got a selection of the enclosure cards that are perfect if you don't have a card, or to stick in with a gift! Also great for flowers, or just a little note to say you are thinking of someone! I was so thrilled to receive such great note cards!!

Snail Mail Notes can even design a card! Check out the Commissioned work to see what else can be done! Any card you see on the site can be personalized! Use a picture from the site or use your own photo! Combine with a quote from you or a favorite scripture to create a one-of-a-kind greeting or gift!

Snail Mail Notes would like to offer you a set of note cards!! Here is how to enter!
