Guinness World Record Cup of Coffee to benefit Susan G. Komen for the cure

Holy caffeine! That's a lot of coffee! On October 18,2010 at 12 p.m. PST, it was announced by a Guinness World Record Official that GourmetGiftBaskets.com has broken the Guinness World Record for the Largest Cup of Coffee at Blog World Expo, in Las Vegas Nevada!!  They made a coffee cup that is a whopping 8x8 foot specially constructed coffee mug, holding 2,010 gallons of fresh coffee. 2,010 gallons is equivalent to 32,160 cups of fresh brewed coffee.  I sure hope the line for the bathroom wasn't too long!! The previous record was set in 2007 at only 911.5 gallons.  So this was a huge difference!! Way to go Gourmetgiftbaskets.com!!

Ryan Abood, CEO of GourmetGiftBaskets.com  was up for the challenge, and got to work with a crew of 15 and built the huge cup of joe!  “We wanted to break both records because we had this massive cup and thought, we’d be crazy not to,” says Ryan Abood, CEO of GourmetGiftBasktets.com. “We had all the tools necessary and loved the challenge!” Check out their YouTube Videos documenting the Guinness World Record experience.

I was not paid for this post. I was entered in a contest from Gourmetgiftbaskets.com!
