Bike Glow Safety Light Review + 25% Off Code!

Biking is a fun activity to do with your family! Unfortunately as fall arrives the nights get darker sooner. That usually means less time to ride outside, as it becomes hard for drivers to see you. But with the new Bike Glow Safety Light, you can extend your biking hours and enjoy the last few nights before it gets too cold!!  This great product works great for kids and even adult bikes, and is bright enough to be visible as you ride! It helps keep you safe and allows you to ride even after the sun goes down!!
The BikeGlow™ Safety Light provides 360 degree biking visibility. Running on 2-AA batteries, the BikeGlow™ frame light is a 10' waterproof light tube that securely attaches to your bike's frame. It features three lighting modes: Steady, Slow Flash, Fast Flash. So whether cars are behind you, in front of you, or coming from the side, you remain highly visible and much safer!
The light was pretty quick and easy to install! I was impressed with the brightness! We have a bike route right by the house, where no cars are allowed, so we didn't have to worry about traffic.  But my daughter was super excited to have a light on her bike! Not only does it help with safety-but its just SOOOO cool to look at! ☺  I prefer the flashing setting because it seems to be more attention grabbing but it is great no matter which setting you use.

The lights are available in blue, green, aqua, pink, purple, red, white and yellow! We got the green one but I would love to get sets for the whole family ( I want pink of course!! )  so we can enjoy biking together without having to worry about rushing home before its dark!   The lights cost $24.95 each, so they are a bit spendy, but luckily Bike Glow is offering my readers 25% off! Simply use code: FRUGALFAMILY at check out!

Bell True Fit Helmet Review and Giveaway!

An important part of biking is  bike safety. If you teach your child early on the importance of wearing their helmet, its likely they will continue to wear it as they grow older.  Bell has been a trusted name in helmets for years.  But of course the helmet doesn't always fit right. It can be too big, too small or just not quite right.
Until now. Enter the new True Fit helmet from Bell.  This is the first of its kind, with True Fit self adjusting True fit head belts and reflectors in the back! These helmets are a much better fit than the regular!  They have lots of styles to choose from and have helmets for toddlers, children, youths and adults.

We got to try out a Bell True Fit Helmet! The fit was PERFECT!!! We tried out this cute one with frogs on it:

This can be for a boy or a girl, and its durable and long lasting!  We got the toddler size, and if you have a child over 2 1/2 I would say get the child sized, cause the toddler will likely be too small.  Depends on the size of your child's head ☺  The helmet was a big hit with my little one, and she wore it even when she wasn't riding her bike!

It's important that when you ride, you also wear a helmet. If your child sees you without a helmet, its likely they won't wear theirs either! They offer lots of cute designs,  so  you should be able to find one that you like!

Here's a little more about Bell:

Company Overview
Bell Sports, the preeminent designer and marketer of branded sports helmets and accessories for more than 50 years, was born from its historic focus in auto racing and motorcycle helmets to become the world's leading supplier of helmets and accessories for bicycling, snow sports and fitness. A large part of the company's success is from its innovation and passion for creating advanced products that help keep adults and children safer. The True Fit technology is the latest innovation from Bell Sports.

Experts at Bell toured the United States fitting helmets on hundreds of kids to scientifically examine how a helmet should fit. They also tapped safety advocate SafeKids Worldwide to examine "false" fitting helmets and captured the data. This research, combined with decades of design and knowledge, resulted in the line of True Fit bicycle helmets, a one-step self adjusting helmet with unparalleled ease and comfort for kids and adults.
