A $1 MILLION Pledge to Moms & Babies in Need

August is a huge month for breastfeeding – Glamourmom has been searching for a way that can help both their desire to help moms and babies in need & a way to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week & Breastfeeding Awareness Month.  After 8 months of planning, they have officially kicked off a special donation program ‘Buy one, Give One’.  

Recognizing the low breastfeeding rates both domestically & internationally due to famine, war, poverty, or natural disaster as well as the close connection to the ever increasing Infant Mortality Rate - Glamourmom Pledges Up To $1 MILLION in Nursing Apparel to Moms in Need During Breastfeeding Awareness Month! 

The donation program will run from August 1 thru August 31, 2010.  Any purchase of a nursing bra tank made on www.glamourmom.com & www.glamourmom.co.uk during August will be matched and will be donated to moms in need around the globe.  The donation goods will be dispersed domestically and internationally to lower income families & underdeveloped countries in hopes of increasing the overall international breastfeeding rate.  Glamourmom is hoping to launch this project and highlight both the alarming rate of infant mortality worldwide as well as the benefits of breastfeeding.
