We loved the stuffed baked potatoes! This is something I will have to buy more because they are just so delicious and don't take much time to cook! Each baked potato shell is filled with whipped potatoes, real sour cream, aged cheddar cheese, bacon bits and chives. They are totally amazing and very addicting!!

And of course what review would be complete without-THE MEAT! I am a steak girl all the way! Gotta have my red meat! I loved the Filet Mignon! It was absolutely amazing! My youngest usually doesn't like steak but she ate all of hers that night AND tried to steal mine right off my plate! We grilled up steaks and chops for night two and they came out beautiful!:

I checked out the website. Since I am not in the market for a vacation any time soon, it was merely to see how it works and find out more. It seems to be a good place to find a great deal on a time share. I like staying in a time share because you can cook your own meals and save a lot of money not having to eat out for every meal. This is a great way to go when you are on a budget.

I also really like being able to find something close to home. I like mini-vacays where I can visit something within a few hours driving distance and just get away for a few days. Sometimes these plans are put together in just a few weeks. Redweek.com can help you find great deals on time shares even right before you are needing it! I found a timeshare less than an hour away! The rate was about $40 cheaper per night on Redweek than it was on the site for the actual timeshare. So if we stayed for a week we would save $280! It is also a lot better than a hotel room-we would get a 2 bed 2 bath for $136 a night vs. a 1 bed 1 bath hotel for the same price! This is a great way to go!

Have you met the cute little Xia-Xia pets yet?? These adorable little hermit crabs are a hot toy this year, and will be in stores in just a few weeks! There are 4 different crabs, 12 interchangeable shells, and 3 fun playsets (not to mention all their little friends!) These undersea critters will bring out your child's imagination and creativity for all sorts of great playtime!

My 3 little girls were just beside themselves when they first laid eyes on these cute critters! They immediately tried to deal out who got which crab, with which shells, little friends, and which "house" (My 6 year old decided she got the biggest since she is the oldest).

Copacabana Playset

The playsets were quick and easy to put together, I didn't even need the directions. I just looked at the box to see where things went together. Most of the pieces snap in, so if the set gets moved you may have to snap a few parts back in. But they are sturdy and fun to play with! The Copacabana playset is my favorite, and nice and open for all the kids to share.

The crabs are Trinidad (orange), Bimini (pink), Turks (Purple) and Tobago (blue). They all fit all the different shells, and you can intermix the shell and the base. Everything just snaps on and pops right off, so even my youngest (she is almost 3) was able to play with the toys easily. The small "little friends" are pretty tiny, so discretion should be used with small children. The "little friends" go inside the shell or can be played with!

We got 2 of the Trinidad and 2 of the Tobago crabs, along with 4 extra shell sets and the 3 playsets! They are so much fun to interchange and there are endless possibilities! My daughters were playing and when one wanted their crab to "go somewhere" the other said "wait I have to change my shell" like she was changing a doll's clothes! The best part of these little crabs is being able to change them over and over!

These toys are colorful, fun and super cute! The Xia-Xia pets also have wheels, so when you scoot them on a hard surface their little legs and claws move! My girls come home every day from school ready to play with the "little crabs"! This toy is sure to be a hit this year!

Homemade Chicken Enchiladas!

Chicken enchiladas are a family favorite, and it all started when I perfected my own home made recipe! One day when I was wanting to eat something but nothing seemed too appealing. I had some chicken, some onion, some green chiles and remembered that was some of the stuff we used in the chicken tacos at a restaurant I used to work at. I decided to try it but with a twist-I would boil the chicken with the veggies and chicken broth instead of just cooking the meat in a frying pan and adding the veggies. Well the chicken turned out to be amazing! So I decided to try it in enchiladas. Since then I have added to the recipe and really made it great! My friends and family have been asking for the recipe! So I am sharing it on my blog!!

What you will need:
1 can diced green chiles
1 small jar of roasted red bell peppers
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup jarred sliced jalapeños (optional)
2-3 lbs. chicken breast
chicken broth, 2-3 cans
2 packets enchilada sauce (cook as directed)
small tortillas
cheddar jack cheese

Begin to heat 1 can of the chicken broth in a pot. Add the can of diced green chiles, the jar of red peppers, onion and jalapeños to the broth. (The jalapeños will make it spicy, so if you don't want the heat omit from the recipe). Heat until steaming and add chicken breasts. Add enough chicken broth to just cover the chicken. Put on a lid and cook on medium about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. After about 30 minutes, remove lid and check the liquid and see if the chicken can start to be broken down using a wooden spoon. Continue to cook (without the lid), stir and break up the chicken until most of the liquid is gone. Remove from heat as it will burn quick once the liquid is gone.

Start the enchilada sauce and cook as directed. I choose to use the McCormick brand enchilada sauce but you can use any type you like. The green chile enchilada sauce is also VERY good! As the sauce cooks, you can get the enchiladas ready. Begin using a large scoop of the chicken and rolling it up in the tortilla. Using a greased glass pan, line the enchiladas up end to end, packing tight. Once all chicken is gone the sauce will be ready. Pour the sauce over the top, getting in the sides and covering all enchiladas. If you are making more than one pan you may want to make more sauce. My family likes a lot of sauce so we make a lot.

Last but not least, sprinkle (or pile) on the cheese!! Put in a 375 oven for about 5-7 minutes and you are ready to go! Super yummy and pretty easy!

Video Games are sure to be a big item on your list this holiday season! I have been checking out all sorts of great games for the Nintendo DS and recently got to review the new game Camping Mama!

I was super excited to play the game....but first-we had to have s'mores!

I tried the game to see what its all about! The game was super fun, and the mini games are great! I loved the apple catching game-I kept playing it to try to beat my score! It can be really addicting if you let yourself get into it!! The kids have been having a blast playing the game-and I even got them to share! They just can't seem to put it down! This is a must have game!

My Baby Girl's First Limo Ride!

A couple weeks ago my 6 year old daughter came out of class totally stoked for her first ever limo ride! Of course there was a catch-she had to sell 25 items in her school fundraiser! Its one of those ones with super expensive cookie doughs and other goodies. But none the less daddy and I were determined to help her get on that limo ride!

After 2 weeks of hitting the neighborhood and hitting up friends and family, we got all 25 items and she earned the chance to ride around town in a limo-plus lunch at McDonalds! 24 kids in the school earned enough to go, including a few of her friends!

Shae got all dressed up for the occasion and had soooo much fun on her first limo ride! She loved watching a big TV in the car, not having to wear a seat belt, and getting to change seats while moving! Pretty much the high light of her life! I'm so glad Shae got to enjoy this and make great memories with friends! ♥

Fun Play-Date Ideas for Your Kids-Guest Post by Megan Gates!

Play dates are supposed to be good for children, but especially with the younger ones they often result in two kids off doing their own thing while the parents look on. Here are a few ideas to encourage young children to interact:

Costume Party
Children are imaginative creatures and – like most adults – they enjoy inhabiting other personas, if only for a little while. Why let all those old Halloween costumes go to waste? Meet at the park for a costume party play date and let the little ones dress in their holiday attire. Besides gathering appreciative remarks from passers-by, they will also play longer and more creatively in their assumed identities than they would as themselves. The super hero and the fairy princess may have more in common than Ian and Mia. Bring out a dress-up box or a collection of old clothes at home and let their imaginations run wild.

Make a Craft
Younger children enjoy working side-by-side without much interaction. Encourage them to work together by making a “my-hand-your-hand” craft. Trace each child’s hand several times onto sheets of construction paper. Let the children choose the colors – each gets two or three. After an adult cuts out the hand shapes, divide them equally between the children. Let them use a glue stick to attach the hand shapes to a white paper plate to make a wreath. Ask them, “Whose hand is that?” and see if they remember which colors each of them chose. Watch them as they match their hands to the cutouts.

Opposites Hour
Children are delighted by the incongruous; they are creatures of habit. Surprise them by announcing that starting right now it is “Opposites Hour.” For now, socks go on hands, t-shirts go on backwards, “yes” means “no” and “thank you” means “please.” Although young children are sure to goof up, indulge them by wearing a hat on your foot, putting sunglasses on the back of your head and singing when you talk. Set a kitchen timer to make sure “Opposites Hour” ends on time. You don’t have to be one hundred percent accurate in calculating what the opposite of a certain action is. The important thing is breaking the ice and eliciting giggles.

Water Fun Day
Children love water and miss playing with it in the off-season. This activity can be done indoors or out. If it’s wintertime, make sure guests know what’s in store so they can bring along a change of clothes. Have the house heated and something in the oven to make the kitchen nice and cozy. Warning: It will make a mess. Layer the kitchen floor with old towels or blankets and give the children a variety of plastic or wooden bowls, cups and spoons. Place a large bowl full of lukewarm water between them and let them transfer the contents from one container to another. If done outside in summer, you can add a few drops of food coloring to different bowls of water and let the children experiment with mixing and matching.

I have 2 little ones in school this year and a lot of my summer practice for school included writing for both of them. I was introduced to the video Steps4Kids to Write Modern Manuscript dvd recently and was excited to check it out! My 6 year old has been really improving with her reading and writing and has come a long way in the last year. I figured this video would help her to continue in the right direction!

Considered one of the "Top Videos for Students" by Booklist Online (August 2011), the Steps4Kids to Write Modern Manuscript DVD provides instructional help to those teaching children how to print using the D'Nealian® or similar italicized pre-cursive printing approach.

With approximately 90 minutes of instructional help, this award winning penmanship DVD shows how to write both upper and lowercase letters using video modeling and inviting audio instruction. Each demonstration is preceded by a colorful graphic that shows the letter, introduces the letter's sound and sight words to help viewers develop reading skills. Letter are taught in groupings that share common letter strokes. Drawing breaks are interspersed after the groupings to reinforce letter strokes by showing how to draw using select letters. Look2Write™ game breaks are also used whereby the viewer is shown words and asked to identify the word spoken by the narrator to reinforce reading of the words.

This dvd helps to make learning to write fun and exciting! My 4 year old is writing her name and working on other words and remembering the letters! We have enjoyed using this great dvd as an educational tool in our home! My friend even asked me to use it with her 4 year old as he has shown an interest in learning to write. Tips for de-cluttering and organizing toys in your kids' playroom!!!

With three kids things can get kind of messy around my house! Nothing is more frustrating (not to mention painful!!) than stepping or tripping on a toy somebody left out! And having clutter all over the house isn't only dangerous, but it just stresses me out! We finally established a "playroom" for all their toys that was separate from their bedroom. That way we can keep the mess contained to one area and they are free to play as they like. Keeping that room clean and organized is important for safety, so here are some of my tips to help de-clutter and organize your playroom!!:

1-Have lots of boxes, bins and toy chests on hand! The more places you have for storage the less that will be on the floor. And while it may seem that bigger is better, in this case it isn't. I prefer longer, shallower boxes so that the toys are more visible and they can see what they want to get out.

2-Use clear boxes for easy view! I prefer clear boxes so you can see what is inside without having to empty the whole box. Keep them stacked up on a shelf if possible!

2-Keep games and puzzles in a closet out of reach of little ones, where they can be taken out when ready to use. Keeping them stacked up on a shelf allows you to see what you have and keeps little pieces off of the floor. Nothing is more frustrating then trying to play a game only to find some of the pieces are missing.

3-Use boxes with lids to organize toys by type. AND DON'T LET THE KIDS OPEN MORE THAN ONE AT A TIME!!! Organize toys by categories such as Barbies, Hot Wheels, dress up, etc. and only allow them to play with one set after the first set has been cleaned up and put away. If your children want to play with different things, make each child responsible for the things he or she plays with.

4-Do a clean sweep every few months, checking the toys for broken or worn out pieces. If it can't be cleaned or is broken, toss it. Most of our kids get PLENTY of toys from relatives, birthdays, holidays etc., so there is no need to keep EVERY single toy! Get your kids involved so they can help you narrow it down! Remind them that to get new toys we have to get rid of some of the old stuff! And if it is still usable, donate to your local Goodwill or other thrift store!

5-Clean the room daily. Make it a routine before bedtime to clean up the room! Make it fun-sing the clean up song or make it a race to see who can clean fastest!

6-Take some toys out of rotation for a while and store them away. Then after 3 months switch them out with other toys. The toys will seem fresh and new and there won't be so many toys everywhere.

7-Get rid of toys that your child has outgrown. If it is a special bear or something sentimental, store it somewhere. Too many toys=too much clutter

8-If your child doesn't have their own playroom, organize their room so one half is for sleeping and the other is for play. This keeps it organized and neat.

9-Encourage your kids to help you organize the playroom. Ask them what would make it easier to find their stuff and play, and organize based on their needs.

10-Lead by example!! You have to start a clean up routine and help your kids learn to be clean! You can't expect them to keep a clean space if you don't!! Teaching your kids early on that a clean house is a happy house will be an invaluable tool as they grow older! If they see you cleaning they will be more likely to want to get involved, and will learn this good habit early on!!

The light was pretty quick and easy to install! I was impressed with the brightness! We have a bike route right by the house, where no cars are allowed, so we didn't have to worry about traffic. But my daughter was super excited to have a light on her bike! Not only does it help with safety-but its just SOOOO cool to look at! ☺ I prefer the flashing setting because it seems to be more attention grabbing but it is great no matter which setting you use.

The lights are available in blue, green, aqua, pink, purple, red, white and yellow! We got the green one but I would love to get sets for the whole family ( I want pink of course!! ) so we can enjoy biking together without having to worry about rushing home before its dark! I have a very curious little 6 year old on my hands! She is constantly asking questions to learn more about the world around her!! I try my best to answer them all, but mom only knows so much!!! I often turn to books or good ol' Google to help find the answers I don't know! I like to find educational books that are interesting but still teach you something!! A recent find of mine was "The Big Book Of How", from Time Home Entertainment! This great books answers questions on a HUGE range of topics, all in words kids can understand! It makes learning fun!!

The 192-page book, packed with vivid illustrations and comprehensive reporting, helps kids ages 8 and up discover the answers to questions such as: How does a chameleon change colors? How was Mount Rushmore built? How to stay safe during an earthquake? How do you build a spaghetti bridge? How do diamonds form? How does an iceberg form? How do astronauts train for a space mission? How does a lock work? How does popcorn pop? Detailed explanations, more than 200 colorful photos and diagrams, and over 20 “How to” activities help to educate and engage young readers.

My daughter thought this was about the coolest thing on earth!! When I gave it to her we spent about a half an hour browsing the pages and reading the ones that caught her eye. Some of our favorites included learning about tornadoes, Mount Rushmore, and all sorts of animals! The photos are great and everything is explained really well! I love that they broke the book into chapters by topic, so you can check out specific things like sports, natural disasters and more! The book is an endless source of great knowledge!!

The book is available now for $19.95-and even less if you shop around!! It is recommend for ages 8 and up, but my 6 year old really enjoyed it! She can read but still needed just a little help with the bigger words. This book is a must have for any child who loves to learn!! Check it out today!!

Family Time & The Clorox2 Play 2Day Challenge!

Fall is here but there is still plenty of time to get outside and have fun as a family! My family spent the whole summer outdoors, whether it was swimming, hiking, or hanging out at the park! We love to get outside for family time! Its a great way to bond, and as the saying goes, "a family that plays together stays together"! It is a great way to model the importance of physical activity for your kids and make sure everyone in the family is staying active!

Clorox2 is inviting families everywhere to take the Clorox2 Play 2Day Challenge! This takes place this weekend, September 24th! Here are some of my favorite things to do!:

Going for a nature walk or hike is a great way to explore your neighborhood or the mountains! Depending on the ages of your kids, you may want to do a short walk around the block or hit a nature trail! Talk about the changes in the plants due to fall, and discuss this with your kids. We also love to hit the local park! There are always lots of other kids around, so get out there and be social! Some parks even offer activity days, so check with your local parks department for any special events in your area.

You don't have to go anywhere to have fun outdoors! Some of our favorite games include tag and hide and go seek. Even as a kid I remember playing hide and go seek with my grandpa! It was something we always looked forward to! That's really what it's all about-having fun with your kids and creating memories that will last a life time! My kids are already 2,4 and 6 and I feel like the time is flying by me! It's so important to seize the opportunity while your kids are still kids! You don't want to wake up and realize you missed out on the fun!

I spent some of my summer in sunny California, and one of my favorite things to do was hit the beach!! Nothing beats spending the day in the sun, playing in the waves, and playing in the sand. I recently got to try Sand Gone! I was a bit of a skeptic at first, but was amazed at how well it worked! Simply dip the puff in the powder, brush the sand off and you're done! No sand left behind,and your skin feels great! Sand Gone is a dry body powder that when applied to sandy parts of your body removes the sand leaving your skin soft and smooth. But when was the last time you stopped to think about how your family would manage without you? It's not a pleasant thought to ponder, but if your family depends on you, it's a topic you can't afford to ignore.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to think about protecting the most important people in our lives. The nonprofit LIFE Foundation sponsors Life Insurance Awareness Month in response to the growing problem of too many families not having adequate life insurance protection. According to the industry research group LIMRA, 11 million U.S. households with children under age 18 have no coverage. Those families are just one illness or accident away from a financial crisis, and something needs to be done about it. That's why LIFE has created the "Insure Your Love Picture Mosaic" in support of Life Insurance Awareness Month.

The "Insure Your Love Picture Mosaic" is designed to recognize and celebrate those who have made the responsible decision to protect their loved ones by owning life insurance, while also introducing them to a larger community of others who have made the same choice. People are encouraged to upload up to 20 photos of their loved ones, whose financial future has been safeguarded by their decision to purchase life insurance.

By adding your photos to the mosaic, you will also be helping out a great cause. For each photo uploaded, $1 will be donated to the LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program, which provides tuition assistance to students who have lost a parent and are struggling to achieve their dream of a college education.

This mascara is darn near perfect! I love that it doesn't clump up like my current mascara does, and comes off really easily at bed time. I love that it doesn't flake off during the day or dry up. The wand is really great for getting the individual lashes and gives a great look!

I've been hanging out in beautiful, sunny (and hot) California the past few weeks! I did a little online shopping with my favorite sex store, EdenFantasys! I waited patiently for the package to arrive and it finally arrived yesterday!! I was so excited to see a non identifying brown cardboard box on my porch and rushed right in to open it!! Here is what I ordered:

And I even got a free gift! I love shopping with EdenFantasys and getting my favorite adult goodies!

This time I was very bummed to find that the Intimate kisses oil had gotten SO hot that it literally burst in the package. It smelled AMAZING in the box and I was dying to use the oil. But then my disappointment began to fade as I realized they had individually wrapped each product! My outfit was perfect, as well as the lube and the free gift! EdenFantasys took the time to make sure everything was packed right and it saved the rest of my order!

So I called customer service and within 3 or 4 minutes the girl had a brand new bottle of oil coming right out to me! I was so glad that the damaged product was replaced so quickly and without any hassle. I didn't have to worry about returning anything and I would get the new one in a few days! I was very impressed with the excellent customer service! This is just one of the reasons why I love EdenFantasys!!

Taking care of your wood floors and wood furniture doesn't have to be a chore! Scott's Liquid Gold is best known for its amazing ability to clean and restore natural wood. Generations of users also know it's also great for fixing squeaky hinges, shining metal, cleaning porcelain, vinyl and so much more. Liquid Gold began in the garage of a widowed single mother of three boys. You know she must have done a lot of cleaning. Manufactured in Denver, Colorado, Scott's Liquid Gold is still made with natural organic oils. It works as well today as it did 60 years ago!

I just moved out of a house with wood floors, and used this to clean it up before we left! The Liquid Gold worked so well at getting the floors to work its best! The wood wash also smells good so you don't have to worry about obnoxious smells when cleaning! The concentrate goes a long way too, so you will get plenty of uses out of the bottle!

I liked the wood cleaner & preservative for cleaning furniture and it really made it shine! I like my wood furniture to stay nice, and this has been my favorite cleaner! I used the bottle pretty often so it didn't last long! I even used it to spot clean the wood floors as needed! This is a superior product that will keep your wood looking beautiful!

Each day they have 13 great deals, but they go quick, so you have to get it before its gone! You never know what kind of deals you will find!!

For just $14.99 you can get this EZ Grill Disposable Party Grill:

I received one of these grills to try out. I had originally requested an LED lantern, but it arrived and did not work, so the company gave me a new product to try out. This EZ grill was pretty good, it was easy to light and can go anywhere. The food tasted good, even if it was a little different then using a regular bbq. The grill is also disposable so it is quick clean up when you are done. You do have to let it cool down before disposing it, so we poured water in it when we were done. You must do this in an area where the charcoal run off is ok.

Looking good is always a priority, but sometimes looking good and having the proper support doesn't go together. I have so many cute things to wear, but hate when my bra straps are showing.
